Pipe Spring, situated at the foot of the Vermilion Cliffs in Arizona, is famous throughout southern Utah and northern Arizona as a watering place.
The Visitor Center/Museum is operated by the National Park Service and the Kaibab Band of Paiute Indians.
This house/fort/ranch was built in the 1870's by the Mormons. It was built directly over Pipe Spring to ensure that the water was reserved for their use and their livestock.
One side of the fort was residential and the other side for business.
The park service offers tours of the "Winsor Castle" hourly.
