Our second cruise stop in Norway was the small town of Geiranger. The Geiranger Fjord is so beautiful and unique that it has the status as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Unfortunately, we had low clouds for the day but we could still appreciate the grandeur of this very deep, narrow fjord.
Town of Geiranger with a population of 250.
The town had a floating pier that extends out to greet the ship, making tendering unnecessary.

Geiranger Octagonal Church of Norway
The Viking Saturn is far down below.
A Norwegian RV was parked at an overlook turnout.
After 11 hairpin turns, we reached Eagles Bend Overlook at over 2,000 feet above the town.
There was a campground near the port (lower left corner).
Trolls are a big part of Norse Mythology.
Very deep and very narrow makes this fjord stunning.
One of many, Seven Sisters Waterfall plunges over 1,000 feet into the fjord.
We enjoyed travel through the 15 km fjord.
Norway has many fish farms for raising food for market.
As we headed north through the inland waterway, we noticed this mountain had a hole through it.
After leaving Geiranger, we passed by the Arctic Circle Monument at 66.5 degrees latitude.
