After two days in Reykjavik, we stopped at a Kronan Grocery Store and stocked up on supplies for breakfast and lunches and began our journey around the island. The grocery store highlighted our illiteracy in the Icelandic language and currency, Icelandic Krona (ISK). This made shopping somewhat of an adventure. Most of our stops were along the way, so we toured each day enroute to our next BnB.

Grabrok was formed in an eruption about 3200 years ago.
Glaumbaer Farm & Museum
The museum displays old timber and turf buildings depicting everyday life on a 19th century estate.
Originally Built in 1849
Archeological remains indicate that this land was farmed beginning in the 11th century.

COZY COTTAGE IN SAUOARKROKUR
This fairly new log cabin was our first BnB for the trip.
This cabin is located on a working farm.
We brought a folding cooler from home for use along our way. We transferred the contents each evening to the refrigerator and repacked it for travel the next morning.
